2009 Harvest stats:
Vineyard:Napa, Valley
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Pick Date: October 20, 2009
Pick Time: 7:19 a.m.
Weight: 1.55 tons
Brix: 24.4
Ph: 3.64
TA: .500
Important Facts. Great timing after holding on
and picking a week later (I still wanted to let it hang but things
worked out wonderful) to let the sugars and flavors mature (after a
very cool October and late rains). Quality :excellent Patience in the
vineyard always pays off. No panic picking here. Just barreled after
extended maceration. Wonderful color, fruit character and tannin. This
one will be interesting (how it develops) when it comes to making the
wine. 2009 may be one of the best vintages in 4 decades.

barrel. The nose on this wine is the best of the vintage so far..just
outstanding.
More aggressive fruit tannins than last
